Random Babblings of a Lunatic - Issue #7
Column by: The Loony Guy on 09/03/2003

End of passion play, crumbling away
I'm your source of self-destruction
Veins that pump with fear, sucking darkest clear
Leading on your death's construction
Taste me you will see
more is all you need
you're dedicated to
how I'm killing you

Just like a bad case of Athlete's Foot, so does yet another edition of Random Babblings occur straight from the underbelly of human insanity. Looking ahead in the land of RCW we sit only a couple weeks away from International Incident, RCW's first ever-free event! No doubt this will be a great chance for some who normally wouldn't attend an event (because they are too tight) to discover just what this adrenaline-laced, testosterone-pumped happening that we call Revolutionary Championship Wrestling really is! This will occur right out on the 5th Street at St. Mary's International Festival. Be sure to be a part of this event! Just what will be happening? As of now, not much has been released as to this event. My big question which I've posed to the Commissioner over the message board (and yet to get an answer to) is will the new Tag-Team Champions, Randy "The Queen" Allen and Dirk "The Ween" Extreme defend their new-found gold against a legitimate contending tag-team or slide through this event in a cakewalk? Let's face it, at Genesis Randy & Dirk Pearl Harbored The Freakshow who had fought with a lot of passion to reach the finals by defeating (in order) The Angry Black Men, Zodiac & Meco, and The Rydas. In other words Queen & Ween have yet to prove to anyone (other than themselves) that they deserve to wear RCW Gold. The official rankings list Men In Black as #1 contenders to the tag-team titles. I say give MIB first crack at the Gold and let's see just how well Randy and Dirk can fare there. But that decision rests on the shoulders of the Commissioner, The Mastermind. Regardless of what 'Mind's decision is, I guarantee it will be interesting come I.I. (International Incident).

In a bit of a spoiler, I happened to notice that on Trik Nasty's website that he is scheduled for an appearance at II. Does that mean that the Extreme Division Title will be defended? Maybe. Again, noticing the rankings, Al B. Damm is the #1 contender to Trik's belt, and based on RCW: Injection he probably should be BUT personally I'd like to see just who is hungry enough for this Title. At some future event I'd like to see another "Extreme Battle Royale" with some wild match stipulations and all of the top contenders vying for that coveted #1 Contenders position with the winner getting the next Title shot.

Does being ranked as the #1 contender automatically grant you a Title shot? If so, look for Bobby L. to get a crack at Vile's World's Heavyweight Championship sometime. No doubt Vile is a big nasty monster and capable of squashing most wrestlers, but if this match ever occurs, I predict an upset (hey, if I keep making predictions, eventually I'll get one right) and here's why: Bobby improves with every outing and has a won-loss record of 4-0 (not counting Dirk eliminating him from the tournament at "Hail to the King") with wins over Dude Rock, The Great Meco, Average White Guy, and a Tag Match with Meltdown over Jay Donaldson and Average White Guy. Not too shabby! Now he has Exotic E in his corner who has already made an impact in his work. Bobby takes advantage of any edge he can get, legal or otherwise. Plus with Shawn Parks and Sean Casey all breathing down Vile's back the big green freak has his hands full. Speaking of Vile, a big congrats to Vile in winning ½ of the VCW Tag-Team Gold in Dayton, Ohio on 8/30.

There is a new Belt on the horizon, RCW announced the formation of the Internet Champion. This Title is going to be unique in that there doesn't have to be a scheduled event for a Title match to occur. The matches could take place at the new RCW Training Center and broadcast over the Internet. How cool is that! Will the new Internet Champion be crowned at I.I.? Yet
another question to be answered.

All in all I.I. is looking like a very interesting event that has a lot riding on it. In my Pre-Genesis column I mentioned that RCW was at a critical point and needed to do something explosive to establish itself as THE dominate Federation in the Portsmouth area after rival promotion Off The Hook pulled out all of the stops in it's big debut event. RCW not only climbed to the top rung of the ladder but it also kicked everyone else off of the ladder. As of right now no one seems to know if OTH is done for or if it is regrouping under new ownership and about to launch another event, or at least if they do know they aren't saying. The Loony Guy has been watching their message board very closely and so far it has remained shut down. Right now RCW needs to strike while the iron is hot and keep the momentum rolling off of Genesis. Hopefully I.I. will keep the RCW ball rolling faster and faster.

The Loony Guy crashed a session at RCW's new Training Center at St. Mary's and was I ever impressed! The new recruits were being put through the proverbial ringer, and then many of the regulars took in quite a work out too. I know that we'll all see the benefits from these training sessions in an improved product on the floor. The trainers were seemingly bearing down hard on the new recruits, but it should be so. Professional Wrestling is not a hobby or a side-job for many of the RCW Superstars, but their life. They spend much of their lives working on honing and perfecting their Craft to give the fans the best show possible and they do not take their Art lightly. The wrestlers themselves are also fans and wrestling fans are among the most knowledgeable, passionate, and demanding fans of any sport. We applaud and respect those wrestlers who work hard for our entertainment and we know that the wrestlers respect the fans that have plunked down their hard-earned cash to attend events to keep these events happening. We all look back at the legends with a sense of honor and respect and never forget those who pioneered this great American past time called Pro Wrestling. To have the privilege of lacing up the boots, donning the gear, and stepping into the squared circle and hearing your name announced as the next competitor is an honor of great magnitude and must always be treated as such. That is why the trainers push these recruits as far as possible. It's all about the Honor!

Ok, off my soapbox and let's wrap this up with some Babblings:

Check this out.... Did you know that Canada has an RCW too! It's at http://www.rcwpro.com And guess what... they have Al Snow Booked!!! Al can be booked by email at alsnowbookings@yahoo.com (hint hint) :)

C'mon Phoenix, show yourself! We wanna know who you are!

Did you see that "Ring of Honor" has Terry Funk booked for their Philly show! How I wish that it wasn't a 10 hour drive! I would kill to see that one!

Would everyone PLEASE quit threatening to beat up Truth on the message board so he'll come to his first RCW event!

Ok DDK, you got me with the Romeo Godwinn thing! Thanks Informer for setting the record straight :)

Speaking of The Informer... Man, your news and rumors page is so ancient! It is still recapping Independence Blast! Maybe The INFORMANT would be interested in your page!

What did you think of the blade job during the Brock Lesner/Zack Gowen match? Down right Gruesome! I haven't seen that much juice since Manny "The Raging Bull" Fernandez and Ravishing Rick Rude took out the Boogie Woogie Man years ago in that classic bloodbath!

Speaking of Blood Bath... ah, I won't go there! Yeah I will... A carload of us drove to Jackson to catch the SCW show on Aug. 30th, PITIFUL!!! There were fans and wrestlers alike all standing around in front of a closed venue wondering what happened to the show. So unprofessional! Never again SCW!!!!! You SUCK!!!!

So, RCW is shopping for another Ring Announcer! The Loony Guy and Vic Stone votes for a Hot Babe this time!

Speaking of The Man of Stone, he has some issues with not being a ranked contender! That's it.. go ahead and make the big bald guy mad!

DUDE ROCK.... WHERE ARE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!

Man, where are they digging up these characters on the message board at? Fo Shizzle Fizzel, The Real Brandon Prophet, Brian Fellows, The Real Kool-Aid Man, Y'all are sick, Sick, SICK!!!!!

Message Board MIAs: Blizzard, Gandhi, Scab, Livewire, J, (among others). WHERE ARE YOU!!!

Who knew that Dirk Extreme had such a vicious streak in him?!? We all knew that Randy Allen did!

So, what are you gonna do when The Mastermind comes out? Cheer or Boo him? I can't wait to see what kind of crowd reaction he gets!

The Outlawz have been awful quiet lately. I wonder if they are plotting something big or in hiding? Time will tell.

Ain't it about time to put The Zodiac in the Extreme Division mix? He'd seem like a natural there.

Whatever happened to The Prisoner's columns? Doesn't he have anything to write about since the demise of OTH?

Finally, (about freakin' time) in November to mark the 1 year anniversary of RCW's first ever show, I'll be naming the winners of the first annual "Loony" awards. I'll be recognizing a lot of RCW achievements including Best Wrestler, Best Match, Most Shocking Moment, among many many others. There will also be plenty of negative awards as well (suck it up and take it man!). If you have a category for an award that you would like to see awarded or a member or fan of RCW receive an award, email the Loony Guy at:
