RCW RETURNS TO TV!

Posted by: RCW Management on  4/28/08

It is true! RCW will be making a return to television as early as this week! THE ZONE, a new television station in the Portsmouth and Chillicothe area struck a deal with RCW Management for RCW to return to the small screen. "RCW WRESTLING SHADOWS" is a new concept that shows your favorite RCW Superstars recounting their favorite matches and memories in Revolutionary Championship Wrestling. Get this.... "RCW WRESTLING SHADOWS" will be a DAILY half hour program!!!!!!! A timeslot is still being worked out but rest assured that RCWONLINE.COM will keep you up to date on news regarding this. The Zone can currently only be found via an antenna in Portsmouth on Channel 66 and in Chillicothe on Channel 59. The Zone is looking at being on cable in these areas later in the year. The station is set to launch this week. RCW is proud to be asked to be one of the flagship programs for the station.

2 RCW Stars Call it Quits!

Posted by: RCW WebMaster on  4/28/08

RCWONLINE.COM has learned the identity of the two RCW Roster members that have announced their retirement to RCW Management. On April 5th in Otway, OH after "Rampage in Otway", Exotic E was said to not be in high spirits. He told a lot of people in the locker room that he was quitting. Exotic E made it official in days following the event with a letter to RCW Management and as a Bulletin on his "Myspace". Exotic E made his debut at the VERY FIRST RCW Event as the RCW Ring Announcer. After having his fill as the Ring Announcer, Exotic E became one of the most hated managers in RCW history by starting his stable known as Exotica Inc. As Exotica Inc, he lead Bobby L to the RCW World Championship. At Full Circle 2, Exotic E was banished from RCW only to return as the evil Lord Arion, the leader of the Coven, who kidnapped RCW stars and brainwashed them into believing what Arion was preaching. He turned Dirk Extreme into "The American Idol" and brought a rookie by the name of Judas Thorn to the RCW World Title. Exotic E then resurfaced as the Coven fell and Exotic E became a member of the Board of Directors until his power became an issue and he took Loony's job as Commissioner until he was found out at FC5. Exotic E was the manager of IOU but the group has been dwindling as of late. Exotic E will be missed.

Then, late last Wednesday we are told, RCW Management received a call from Ricochet. Ricochet had injured his knee at the Rampage event. Over the years Ricochet has sustained a slew of injuries in the ring. This injury in particular was enough for Ricochet to want to hang up the boots for good. Ricochet made his wrestling debut under a mask in a Battle Royal back in October of 2003. The Ricochet character came to life in June of 2004. Ricochet had many memorable feuds including his battles with Judas Thorn that lead to Ricochet joining The Coven. Ricochet also had many great battles with Tyson Rogers. Rogers won a match that had Ricochet's mask on the line. After that Ricochet stopped with the mask and started with the face paint. Ricochet also nearly captured the RCW Tagteam Titles with Onyx as the two were known as The Mastermind's Army of Darkness. Onyx turned his back on Ricochet and the two had a heated feud that went into 2008. Ricochet was a great fighter with a never say die attitude.

RCW Wrestlers put their bodies on the line for the fans and add to the value of the company. We here at RCW wish these two the best in the future and they will be missed from the squared circle. Both have added many moments through the years that we will never forget and we hope that you will join us in giving them one final "Thank You" by posting your thoughts or favorite memories of them on the Fan Forum.

"ROAD TO INJECTION" NOW IN BEAVER, OH ON JUNE 7TH!!!!!!

Posted by: RCW Management on  4/21/08

RCW's "Road To Injection" that was slated for May 10th in Jackson has been moved to Saturday June 7th (just 12 miles from Jackson) in Beaver, OH at the Beaver Heritage Society Community Center (Old Beaver School) located at 5825 Beaver Pike, Beaver, Ohio 45613. The venue was moved due to the Jackson Memorial Building being booked up for the better part of the Spring and Summer. Beaver is a neighboring town to Jackson so RCW Managament felt it would be the best scenario so that all of our Jackson fans could still easily attend. Later in the year RCW will be in the same building for Beaver's Annual Oktoberfest. Everyone here at RCW is excited about coming to Beaver for the first time and we look forward to bringing this years "Road To Injection" to the area on June 7th. Ticket Outlets, Match Listings, and more to be announced right here on www.rcwonline.com in the very near future.

NEW EVENTS ADDED!

Posted by: RCW Management on  4/17/08

RCW Management has added several new events to the Upcoming Events section. The June 7th venue has not been chosen as of yet. We should have more information on that particular event in the next few days. We also anticipate adding a couple more events in the coming weeks but as you can see we have nearly filled up the rest of the year including our first ever show in Beaver, OH! RCW will be a part of Beaver's annual OKTOBERFEST this year. More info on all of these events coming soon! Check out the Upcoming Events page!

MAY 10TH SHOW POSTPONED.

Posted by: RCW Management on  4/8/08

RCW Management has decided to Postpone Saturday May 10th's "Road To Injection" Event in Jackson, OH. In RCW's near 6 years of existence, RCW fans know that RCW has never cancelled nor postponed an advertised event. Management received word Saturday that WWE was coming to Huntington, WV on the same night. We know a lot of our fans only get 1 opportunity a year to see the likes of The Undertaker, Edge, and Big Show. We have decided to move the date of the event so that fans can still see WWE and RCW in action. A new date will be posted this week as well as the date and location of this year's Injection event.

Thank You

"RAMPAGE IN OTWAY" Results!

Posted by: RCW Webmaster on  4/8/08

Last Saturday RCW fans witnessed one of the most exciting events of the year. "Rampage in Otway" had the rowdy "Otwegians" on their feet in a frenzy as RCW delivered once again.

"RAMPAGE IN OTWAY" RESULTS:

The night opened with a video recap of All Shook Up

The first match turned out to be a blockbuster of a bout. The flamboyant Corey Mason took on Matt Taylor who was accompanied by Miss MacKenzie. The crowd really got behind Taylor who had a hard time putting Mason away but eventually got the job done. After the bout Mason wanted a rematch at Road To Injection. The Loony Commissioner came out and asked Matt Taylor and Taylor accepted the rematch.

JD Santos and Vance Desmond would finally meet for the Lethal Lottery Ticket that Santos won back in January. If you remember Santos picked a match with Ace Gigolo. So in essence the match for the TV Title was up for grabs. Great high flying skills presented by both individuals. John Ruben got knocked down. Referee Steve Hephenstein came down after Santos knocked out Desmond and collapsed on him with his shoulders also on the mat. Ruben came to and both referees counted different shoulders and awarded the match to different winners. Commissioner Horton made a decision that both men would hold the lottery ticket and face Ace Gigolo for the RCW TV TITLE at Injection 6.

Ace Gigolo protested the 3-way match but proclaimed that after the Hardcore Fatal 4-way tonight that he would be RCW's first Triple Champion in the companies history. "The American Idol" Dirk Extreme then came out followed by Tyson Rogers and then Tank Runyon who all had words for each other and plans for the Fatal 4-way. Things got heated and the 4 went after each other. The Commissioner had to pull the roster from the locker room to get the 4 separated.

Ricochet was originally suppose to face Wes Cannon. Cannon was not cleared to wrestle and a substitution in Cole Cash was made at the last minute.Ricochet defeated the debut of Cole Cash. Cash looked impressive in his debut but was caught by Ricochet's superkick.

Also mysterious in his absence was Nikki Tyler. Tyler left Flash Fury hanging in a tagteam match but lucky for Flash The B.O.D. seen fit to give Flash a single's bout against another RCW debut.....Bryan Cross. Cross exhibited tremendous skills but could not overcome the energy and athleticism of Flash Fury.

Chuck Chronic thanked the fans of Otway for their support

Hollie Wood was brought out as the new manager of Randy Allen & Chris Smith while The Mastermind was in the corner of The Gods. The Gods (Judas Thorn & The Juggulator) retained the RCW Tagteam Titles via countout when Randy Allen through Judas Thorn into the ropes and knocked Chris Smith to the outside causing the countout. Allen and Smith had a heated argument after the match. The Mastermind walked out still the Manager of Champions.

A video played showing the progress of Trik Nasty

Tank Runyon won the Hardcore Fatal Four-Way Fall Count Anywhere Match and retained the RCW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE. The first elimination happened nearly 35 minutes into the match and it would be two eliminations at once as Ace Gigolo and Tyson Rogers were pinned after a double elbow from the top from Tank & Extreme. It should be noted that Exotic E, Wes Cannon, & Ranger Bob stuck their noses into the match every chance they got. Dirk and Tank would then face off in a match that had the crowd divided. Tank's knee was injured early on and Extreme tried to submit the champion but could not. Earlier the two had decided to abide by the fans wishes and wrestle instead of using hardcore objects. Extreme grabbed a chair to use on Runyon's leg. It looked as if Extreme was rethinking the decision when Ace Gigolo jumped on the apron distracting Extreme. Meanwhile Rogers snuck back into the ring with the RCW Title. Tank took the belt from Rogers and went to nail him with it but Rogers ducked and Runyon hit Dirk instead. Tank went ahead and pinned Extreme to win the bout. Both men got an ovation after the bout.

END OF SHOW
RCW presents "RAMPAGE IN OTWAY" on 4/5/08!

Posted by: RCW Webmaster on  3/22/08

RCW returns to Otway, OH at the Old Otway School on Main Street on Saturday April 5th for "RAMPAGE IN OTWAY". Tickets will be available (Beginning this Wednesday 3/26)at Crabtree's Market in Lucasville on St. Route 348 and at our regular Portsmouth locations: Domino's Pizza, Front Row Video, and Castle Comics. Tickets also available on our website. Revolutionary Championship Wrestling has never been hotter and what a way to bring in the Spring than to watch RCW tear it up in Otway. Bell Time is 7:30pm with doors opening at 6:30pm. Presale tickets are only $8.00 (door tickets $10), kids 4 and under get in FREE!

ALL SHOOK UP left a lot of questions, one of them being the status of former RCW Tagteam Champions Flash Fury and Nikki Tyler. Did Tyler walk out on Fury and leave him to the wolves (GODS) OR did Tyler simply not see what was going down. The two have accepted another tagteam match. Against who is the question. We hope to have this answered in the coming days.

Speaking of the RCW WORLD TAGTEAM CHAMPIONS....The GODS (Juggulator & Judas Thorn) may have thought that they ridded themselves of Randy Allen & Chris Smith but "The King" & "The Livewire" took their case straight to the Board of Directors. Thankfully Dude Rock slept in that day and the team was able to garner one more chance at the RCW Tagteam Titles. The Old Otway School holds a special place for Smith and Allen as it was the place where they had a lot of success while wrestling for the now defunct SWF. Will the past be relived with these two capturing glory (and gold) in Otway? A better question may be can the two get along. Smith beat Allen by questionable means at ASU and Allen "accidently" clobbered Smith with a tagteam title belt in their last tagteam match against The GODS. Thorn and Juggulator have been absolutely dominate since winning the Titles. This match will be interesting indeed.

The RCW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION, Tank Runyon has never been in such jeopardy of losing his title. Runyon will once again meet Tyson Rogers in the squared circle, BUT this time Rogers won't be the only one on the other side of the ring. The Title will be up for grabs in a 4-WAY HARDCORE RULES MATCH! "American Idol" Dirk Extreme and Ace Gigolo have been added to the mix. Gigolo is the automatic #1 Contender by being the RCW TV Champion. His TV Title will not be on the line. Gigolo could walk out the first ever Triple Championship holder in RCW History! Falls Will Count Anywhere! No DQ! Elimination Rules! This should prove to be a challenge for not only the champion but the challengers as well.

JD Santos will once again put his Lottery Ticket on the line against the man he was suppose to face at ASU. Vance Desmond says that he is now 100% and ready to take the Ticket from Santos. A lot of fans and members of the RCW Locker room are looking forward to this bout.

Matt Taylor won the fans over in Jackson at PD08. This time around he will once again have the fans on his side as his opponent is the flamboyant Corey Mason. Mason blames Taylor for their loss in the Lethal Lottery tagteam tournament. Taylor says he will prove himself to not only Mason but the fans of RCW. We'll see what happens when these two meet for the first time at RAMPAGE IN OTWAY.

Ricochet comes back after his injury that he suffered in Jackson against Onyx courtesy of IOU's Ace Gigolo. Ricochet will be facing the Big Man Wes Cannon. Cannon turned a lot of heads at ASU. He had an impressive outing against JD Santos that showed the WOMD member fall short but look impressive none the less. Ricochet's ribs were injured in that match with Onyx. You better believe that Wes Cannon knows that and will be ready for Ricochet.

Don't miss RAMPAGE IN OTWAY on Saturday April 5th at the Old Otway School!

DR DEATH comes to RCW courtesy of OUTLOUD FEST!

Posted by: RCW Webmaster on  1/21/08

The clue that we left you with yesterday was OK. OK of course is the abbreviation for the state of OKLAHOMA. Besides good ol' JR another man in wrestling is synonymous with the state. "Dr. Death" Steve Williams is one of the hardest hitting grapplers of our time. Although Williams had a short stint with the WWE, he is primarily known for his work in Midsouth/UWF and of course as a member of the Varsity Club in NWA/WCW (alongside Kevin Sullivan, Rick Steiner, and Mike Rotunda). In recent years Williams has battled throat cancer and won! Williams wrote a book about his career and struggles with cancer entitled "How Dr. Death Became Dr. Life". We encourage anyone to pick up the book as it is a MUST READ. Thanks to Jerry "Squint" Horton and RCW Commissioner Mike Horton for making this possible for the fans of RCW as Dr. Death comes to this year's OUTLOUD FEST on Saturday July 26th, 2008 at the New Boston Stadium in New Boston, OH. Check out Outloud Fest on Myspace. Outloud Fest is a Top Friend on the RCW Myspace . Just follow the link from the button on the left.

OUTLOUD FEST NEWS!

It may seem a little early to be talking about Outloud Fest '08 but some HUGE rumblings are taking place. Jerry Horton from the Outloud Fest camp alongside RCW Commissioner Mike Horton have outdone themselves once again this year! OUTLOUD FEST '08 will be held July 26th, 2008 at the New Boston Stadium in New Boston, OH. Previous years the event had been held at Portsmouth's Spartan Stadium but this year the location was moved for various reasons that all parties feel will benefit the event for the better. Last year Outloud Fest brought you "The Russain Nightmare" Nikita Koloff. This year Outloud Fest and the RCW Commissioner bring you another Legend. Who????? The announcement will be made January 21st (tomorrow!)...right here on RCWONLINE.COM. You want a hint.....OK.....that's your hint.

INTERVIEW WITH TRIK NASTY!

Posted by: RCW Webmaster on  1/16/08

At Full Circle 5 Trik Nasty lost the RCW World Heavyweight Championship inside the steel cage, but what many didn't know was that Trik had been battling a knee injury that occurred at RCW's 50th Event back in September. Regardless of the pain and anguish, the IOU leader fought through the agony and gave RCW fans a few more memorable matches along the way. You wouldn't have known it from his bout with Tank at FC5 as Trik was ruthless and dominating, bloodying Runyon beyond recognition. Devising a master plan along the way with then Commissioner Exotic E was only the tip of the iceberg. After the bout though was a different story. The knee was a wreck….to what extent wouldn't be known until the actual surgery. Trik Nasty opted to go under the knife and have doctors look at the extent of the damage while fixing it along the way. Trik Nasty has become one of the most hated but yet respected wrestlers in RCW history. RCWONLINE.COM had a chance to sit down with the former champion and talk about his classic match with Tank Runyon inside the Steel Cage, the status of IOU, the knee injury, and his future concerning wrestling in general…….

RCW: Trik, thank you for taking the time to sit down with us and give us an update.
TRIK: No problem, plus as you can see it's not like I have many other things that I can do right now other than sit down.

RCW: First let's talk about your injury. Tell us how you originally injured your knee.
TRIK: Well the injury first occurred at RCW's 50th Event on September 1st. That night I was to defend my RCW Title against Tank Runyon. Just seconds before the match started I saw my opportunity to get an early advantage on Tank as his back was turned to me. I sprinted across the ring just before the bell rang and as I planted my left leg to throw a punch it popped and gave way. I instantly fell like a sack of bricks. I rolled out of the ring to get some time to get my mind straight from the pain and to see if I could walk it off. I couldn't. Luckily for me Ace stepped up and helped me out or I may have had to forfeit the belt right then and there.

RCW: Going into the Cage Match was the knee giving you any problems?
TRIK: Yeah it was hurting pretty badly. I started wearing a knee brace in October that helped stabilize my leg but I was nowhere close to 100% for the match.

RCW: Do you think the outcome of FC5 would have been different if your knee would have been at 100%?
TRIK: Maybe. But I'm not gonna sit back and say what coulda, woulda, shoulda happened. Fact is I beat the hell out of Tank Runyon and in the end he beat me. His feet hit the floor a split second before mine did and he won. End of story

RCW: After FC5 you immediately scheduled surgery for your knee. Not even a year earlier you were having surgery on a fractured skull courtesy of previous match with Tank Runyon. Were you at all worried that after 2 surgeries in the past year that your wrestling career was coming to a halt?
TRIK: Kinda makes your wonder if the Wrestling Gods were trying to tell me something huh? I thought after the plastic surgery in December '06 that I may not be able to make a return to wrestling but 4 months later there I was in the ring. This time around it's gonna take more drive, more heart and more intestinal fortitude than ever if I want to get back in the ring. You see I tore my ACL in 3 places. Doctor said it was pretty much shredded. I'm not sure if I did all 3 on the September 1st show. I think I tore it once at the September show and then tore it the other 2 times at some point while wrestling for the next 3 months. I also had a Medial Meniscus tear that had to be scoped. They just went in and cut out what was torn. To top that off I had a Lateral Meniscus tear that I didn't know anything about until after the surgery was over. They were able to repair that one. That's why I'm on crutches right now. It takes 6 weeks for it to heal up. I have about 2 weeks left before I'm able to walk again without them. I started a limited bit of therapy 3 weeks ago but until I'm able to walk on it I can't do a lot of the more intense therapy. My left leg already looks about twice as small as my right leg from lack of use. (laughing)

RCW: You have accomplished pretty much all there is to accomplish in RCW. Former 2 time RCW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION, Former TV CHAMPION (*Extreme Division), Former RCW WORLD TAGTEAM CHAMPION, Injection Winner, 1st Lethal Lottery Tournament Winner….Does it discourage you that one of the stipulations put on that match between you and Tank Runyon was that you two would not face each other again during the current title reign?
TRIK: By the time I'm able to get back in the ring and work my way back up the rankings who is to say he will even have the belt. But it does tick me off that they threw that stipulation in there. A champion has the right to a rematch. It's always been that way.

RCW: I.O.U. (It's Our Universe) has been a dominant force in RCW since forming. What is your status with the group now?
TRIK: Some would say dominant and some wouldn't. It's kind of hard to run a smooth ship when you never have all the members present on most of the shows. As for my status with I.O.U. Well I have complete faith in Ace because he helped keep things together last year when I was out with the fractured skull and Onyx can definitely hold his own. I haven't really heard from them since Full Circle 5 but I know they've been pretty busy. Exotic E has called me a few times to check on my status but the conversations have been pretty short.

RCW: Exotic E has made some bold statements lately regarding "The American Idol" Dirk Extreme being a part of IOU. Can you confirm this to be a fact?
TRIK: I can't say anything about it one way or the other. Exotic E hasn't really filled me in on too much information as to what he has planned for I.O.U. while I'm gone.

RCW: Ace Gigolo has been on a streak as of late. Currently holding both the TV and Internet Titles. Do you think that either he or Onyx can unseat the Champion Tank Runyon for his title?
TRIK: Other than Tank I don't know of anyone on a hotter streak right now than Ace. He's taken Tank to the limit on more than one occasion so I think if they were to face each other in the ring one more time Ace would bring it home. Onyx, man I tell you Tank has never faced anyone in RCW the likes of Onyx. He's pure power wrestling at it's best. It'd take a performance like he had in the cage with me to beat Onyx.

RCW: When your knee is back at 100% do you foresee a return to the ring?
TRIK: You can break me but you can't stop me. That's pretty much been my motto for the last year. As long as I can get back to 100% then I WILL return to the ring. Anything less than 100% and I won't. I'm not going to come back and destroy the career that I've worked so hard to build and just be the shell of the wrestler I once was. Whether you love me or hate me you cannot deny my abilities. I will do whatever it takes to entertain in that ring and I will do whatever it takes to walk out of that same ring a winner. If the last match of my career is the cage match against Tank at Full Circle 5 then I can live with that. I may have lost but I could not think of a better way to go out than by putting on the single greatest match in RCW history to date.

RCW: We thank you for sitting down with us today and we truly do wish you a full and speedy recovery.
TRIK: I don't say it very much but thanks. I'm glad RCW gave me the opportunity to address my injury. No doubt there were a lot of fans out there wondering where in the heck I was. Rest assured that RCW has not seen the last of Trik Nasty.
